Sgt. Stephen Williams served faithfully in law enforcement for 23 years, most recently in the Moody Police Department. He received the Officer of the Year Award and was described as someone “a lot of the guys looked up to.” al.com/news/2020/06/p…
He was a good police officer who loved his community. Most importantly, Sgt. Williams was a father of three – and our prayers are with his family during this difficult time. We honor his legacy today across Alabama.
I love our courageous law enforcement community and know the dangers they must work under on a daily basis. Now more than ever, we must support our courageous and faithful police officers who at any moment could pay the ultimate price in keeping our communities safe.
Law enforcement must ALWAYS know that we and their political leaders have their backs.
