The NYT published editorials from dictators, terror-sympathizers, bigots, and Paul Krugman.

An editorial from a U.S. Senator with an opinion you don't agree with isn't going to kill anyone, and it's telling that so many of their writers are pretending it will.

Note not one of these led to this type of coordinated outrage.
The outrage is especially weird given, as @Neoavatara points out, a majority of Americans support having the military assist in dealing with the rioting and looting in major cities.

Trump is bad enough on his own, but it's unbelievable how dishonest members of the press are on this site. I had my DM's being filled with people outraged at Trump for saying George Floyd would be cheering on the jobs numbers. I was about to attack him. Then saw the full video.
Trump was talking about the need for "equal justice under the law" and how "we can't let that happen" referring to injustice. That was the context of his George Floyd comments that countless people intentionally cut out on this site.

Trump was literally saying that Floyd would be happy that we are moving towards fixing injustices, and a bunch of people intentionally cut out the part beforehand AND after to suggest he was talking about the jobs report.

How does anyone justify that type of dishonesty?

Alternate reality. How does this get published????

The reason people aren't talking about it is because McDade made a video about his plan to kill people and then commit suicide by cop, then he allegedly killed his 21 year old neighbor and pointed a gun at police.
Seriously, how can you ever take a reporter or outlet seriously again when they compare a guy who just got out of prison and publicly planned a murder followed by a suicide by cop to the case of George Floyd?
This is Malik Jackson. The 21-year-old neighbor who Tony McDade allegedly murdered before forcing cops to shoot him. Go ahead and tell his family that you are treating McDade like the real victim and have people marching for him.

This has gone form “here is a serious issue we need to address” to we need to demonize whole groups of people based in their occupation and immediately shut down any type of speech that we don’t like.
And my fear is that where we are headed is that most people will see these ridiculous takes and decide that if the press isn’t going to take this issue seriously and focus on responsible solutions than we might as well just ignore it.
But seriously, if we can make movies and tv shows about drug dealers and journalists, I don’t think more movies like Lethal Weapon and Beverly Hills Cop are going to hurt anyone.
