Something really funny just happened. I had a solid belly laugh for at least a minute. Picked up this little old Asian woman. Couldn't have been 5 ft tall, and she tripped and fell on the sidewalk while walking to my car. But that wasn't the funny part...
I immediately got out and ran around to help her up. I held her hand and walked her over to the car and threw her bag in the trunk for her. We were on the east end, going to Lake Mead and somewhere. I think she was Filipino, but that wasn't the funny part either...
On our way we approached a stoplight at Lamb & Vegas Valley. It's one that has a big dip at the intersection, that you'll wreck your car if you don't slow down for, and my light turned yellow at the worst possible moment. I'm too far away to go but I'm pot committed. So I go.
The light was way red by the time I entered the intersection but oh well, what's done is done. But you never know how a passenger might react to such a thing, so I tried to smooth it over. And this was our conversation...
Me: "It's possible that light might've been red."
Lady: "Did a cop see you?"
Me: "Don't think so."
Lady: "I thought you were getting pulled over."
Me: "No I think we're ok."
Lady: "That's an expensive ticket."
Me: "I wouldn't know, but I'll bet."
Lady: "$270 to be exact."
Fin.
