I can think of very few reasons to place chronically ill people into electronic handcuffs because of their diagnosis and care needs. Can you?

I can see digital tools being actually helpful with pump monitoring for brittle diabetes or even heart failure monitoring. Life and death issues. There the presumption is diagnostic and emergency assistance.
But not opioid prescribing.
I have 35 years in rehabilitation and mental health. Behavioral health and behavioral health mgmt is important and necessary. But the best therapy of all is the relationship you build with your team, your people, the people who know you and your community.
AI may in certain instances be a wonderful adjunctive tool. But it's not a substitute.
