Since the media insists there's no difference between rioters, looters, Antifa terrorists, and peaceable Black Lives Matter demonstrators - they're all "protesters" - doesn't that mean the entire protest movement is responsible for her death?
But of course, we all know that standard is one-sided. If you do anything to suppress the violence, you're a racist who doesn't think black lives matter and you want to intimidate righteous people out of raising their voices. Why, Trump even wants to sic the military on them!
At the same time, the movement is not responsible for any of the violence, theft, and destruction perpetrated under the cover it provides. Those people are 100% part of the movement when you try to do something about them, but 0% part of the movement when THEY do something awful.
Needless to say, if the late-stage lockdowns weren't a giant scam and a huge wave of coronavirus infections rolls out of these violent protests, the movement will not be held responsible for a single sickness or death. It will be considered outrageous to even suggest it.
The post-riot coronavirus spike will be chalked up as another deadly sin of white supremacy, because white supremacists and Donald Trump left the protesters with no choice but to hit the streets. I'm not kidding. That's EXACTLY what the spin will be.
None of this would be happening if the protests were in any way linked to the Right. Legit protesters would be held fully responsible for every single act of violence, destruction, and death. Their leaders would be investigated and shredded by media as irresponsible lunatics.
No attention would be paid to their message or the righteousness of their cause. On the contrary, the violence and looting would be used to DISCREDIT whatever the legit protesters were saying. "Why do their rhetoric inspire so much bloodshed and chaos?" media would ask.
If members of the protesting demographic were injured or killed, the way black people are getting killed by these Black Lives Matter protests, the media response would be a collective Nelson Muntz laugh, and then the movement organizers would be accused of murdering them.
And if a Democrat president talked about using the military to restore order... well, that would only prove how dangerous and irresponsible the right-wing protest movement was. Headlines: "Don't Blame Hillary, Blame the Pied Pipers Who Forced Her to Call In the Troops."
In other words, the current madness is yet another manifestation of a problem that hurts the black community more than police abuse: the refusal to treat them as fully responsible for their actions. The crisis of responsibility has been devastating black communities for decades.
The responsible thing to do would have been a full-court press asking people with sincere grievances to get off the streets as quickly as possible, citing pandemic risks and the wave of violence accompanying the protests. They would have been asked to show civic responsibility.
Black Lives Matter? Black lives have been RUINED by these riots, probably for generations to come. Black people are DEAD because of them. The people egging this on care far more about political power and ideology than anyone's life, black or otherwise.
But when people have been infantilized by the Left for generations, told that everything is rigged against them and everyone hates them, not even the most basic civic responsibility is expected of them. Not even after we were told responsibility demanded destroying our economy.
I wonder if you cretins who are suddenly declaring the coronavirus is cured by left-wing protests, or that it's insignificant compared to the "disease" of white supremacy, realize how much damage you're doing to society at large, and the black community in particular.
You aren't just making yourselves look like idiotic political hacks. If your previous warnings were AT ALL accurate, you're exposing the black community to a disease you said would kill MILLIONS, and you said it's more dangerous to blacks than anyone else.
You're also making authority look like an absolute joke. That will hit the black community especially hard, because they already have a crisis of responsibility and accountability. You're giving them another reason to think America is a scam they should feel no allegiance to.
You're not doing black people any favors by giving them magic free passes from the coronavirus lockdown - the biggest story in the world until it suddenly wasn't, the crisis that ruined millions of black businesses and jobs. They were doing better than ever before the lockdown.
Instead, you're telling them it was all a big joke. Once again, blacks who played by the rules got screwed for NOTHING. Blacks who played by the rules were SUCKERS. And you're telling them they can skip out on the historic crisis that was supposed to bring us all together!
Remember that? "WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!" It turns out we're not - if you feel aggrieved over George Floyd's death, you're not "in this together" with the rest of us at all. We can just count you out. You can spread as much disease as you please. Someone else will be blamed.
You idiots just told the black community that the most urgent call for total unity since 9/11 was a scam. You just told them calls for American unity in the face of a historic crisis don't include THEM. You just told them you don't expect them to act responsibly if they're angry.
And if the dreaded "second wave" of coronavirus doesn't roll out of these protests? I really hope it doesn't - but that will mean the lockdowns have been a hideous mistake for a long time, and once again, that will hit the black community hard with another crisis of confidence.
The last message we should be sending blacks, or anyone else, is that authority is a joke, everything is a political illusion, calls for unity don't include everyone, good citizenship is for suckers, and using force is the only way to get "justice" and what you "deserve."
The message Democrats are sending to blacks is that government is just another gang, "principles" are just rhetorical clubs you use to get what you want, nobody can be trusted, and loyalty is purely transactional - vote the right way and you get paid, simple as that.
Which means they're aggressively replacing citizenship and goodwill with pure tribal and factional loyalty, the very opposite of what responsible leaders should be doing. This "everyone is racist" crap is a deliberate nuclear attack on the goodwill that makes citizenship work.
That's a deliberate strategy for totalitarian statists - they WANT to destroy goodwill so that people feel loyalty only to the State and its ruling Party, not each other. Well, remember this is the Party that just told you a virus cares about your ideological purity. /end
