(fixing a factual error my bad)

Keith Ellison is personally stepping into the George Floyd case and upping the charge to 2nd degree murder. Meanwhile, an autopsy revealed he was high on meth and fentanyl, and the left is burying the lead.

"The 20-page report also indicates that Floyd had fentanyl and methamphetamine in his system at the time of his death"

Ie, just like Mr Montes-Bradley was discussing Sunday on the @Quodverum_ live discussion, a very likely case of drug-induced excited delirium.
"Excited delirium is characterized by agitation, aggression, acute distress and sudden death... It is typically associated with the use of drugs... and, most notably, sometimes with death of the affected person in the custody of law enforcement."

It doesn't matter if you agree whether the officer should be arrested and charged with murder or not.

Keith Ellison is a fucking idiot, jumped the gun, and is probably going to cause all the officers involved in George Floyd's death to be found not guilty.
George Floyd was high on a combination of fentanyl and meth, both of which are very dangerous drugs, and it will be argued he very clearly entered a state of excited delirium as he was in the process of being arrested which led to cardiac arrest.
Here's a video by lawyer @NickRekeita who gives further context on the topic of the differences between 3rd (the initial charge) and 2nd degree murder.

It doesn't matter what you think you saw. I remain totally mum on my opinions of the subject, I'm just stating facts. It matters what a jury can be convinced of, and unfortunately, the riots have very thoroughly soured the opinion of many potential jurors

And yes, it is a fact that Keith Ellison is a fucking idiot.

A jury has to be convinced that the officers, at that moment, intended to kill George Floyd with each degree requiring a higher level and preplanning of intent, intent being very difficult to prove.
Being able to point out the fact that he was high as balls on meth and fentanyl, resisted being put in the back of a squad car, and was suffering from drug-induced excited delirium makes it very difficult to prove the cops had any intention of killing George Floyd.
What you saw, what you think you saw, what you believe about cops, it does not matter.

The fact of the matter is, if Keith Ellison tries to virtue signal his way to higher charges for the cops, the burden of proof will be so heavy the case will be torpedoed. All I'm saying.
