Cooper Howell played Hans in the Hyperion's production of Frozen at Disneyland.

He shared his experience with the character, and the slow descent into hell that he faced as a black actor up against a racist corporate environment.

It's Disgusting.

Liesl Tommy sounds like a GOD DAMN SAINT.

I want to meet her.
Buckle Up.

Here's where it gets bad.....

Ugh.
Warning: This is where it goes from just blatant racism, to a whole new level of messed up:
This story truly echoes what I hear from a lot of my friends that are cast members.

To the big machine that is Disney, you are just a number.

And they offer you as much consideration and thought as they would any other number on a list.
Then to add insult to that, they have placed into their employees nothing but fear that their entire lives will be disrupted and they'll never work again if they dare speak up against anyone in power.

Its just this endless cycle of letting abusive people stay in power.
Im sure Cooper will never know the level he impacted all the children in that theater every day, white, black, any color. Seeing barriers broken and challenging the idea of race.

Hats off to you Cooper, and Domonique, and every POC thats been color blind cast. You rock.
Finally, feel free to speak up if you think I should keep stuff like this out of my Disney twitter feed.

This is a Disney enabled thing. So by definition, it's on brand for me to share.

This belongs in my twitter feed as much as a meme about churros and farting trolls.
Video of Cooper killin it on stage:

A response for the original director Liesl Tommy, sharing that when she finally caught wind of what was happening, she took action.

Sad that the victims didn’t have a path to enact change.

This lady is amazing.
