(Thread) Right wingers are idiots. Yesterday FOX posted my comment from a CNN interview that if black kids don't get to enjoy childhood innocence free from suspicion and the danger of racism, white parents must take away the "innocence" of our kids not knowing about racism...
I said that if 12-yr old Tamir Rice can be killed by a cop for playing w/a toy gun in a park--something white kids do all the time--then our kids should be told about racism at least that early (earlier really). I was saying our kids don't deserve the privilege of obliviousness..
Now I'm getting hateful e-mails from morons who actually believe that when I said white children should relinquish their innocence I was suggesting they too should be presumed guilty and shot by cops like Tamir. FFS, I meant innocence as in ignorance/naivete...
How stupid must one be to think I was calling for police to murder white kids? Especially when the convo was about what parents should say to their kids, and how early? It was about us telling them the truth. Why should white kids get to remain naive?...
None of them can answer that of course. They can't even perceive that was what I was saying. Because they are illiterate. And the folks who run FOX know their loyalists are ignorant sheep who will believe whatever spin they put on it...this is why we can't have nice things
