⚠️Zinc results from newest HCQ trial: People keep asking for zinc+HCQ, and the new 800-person trial from @boulware_dr’s trial did report in Supp Appendix 8: results show concomitant zinc did not augment HCQ. In fact, the HCQ results actually somewhat stronger if no zinc. #covid19 
2) The zinc*HCQ interaction was not significant. That means they didn’t augment or dampen each other in any synergistic effect. Proponents of zinc+HCQ is suggesting a synergy. But if anything there is a borderline trend toward a dampening negative interaction albeit non sig.
3) The stand alone zinc effect for COVID compatible was RR=1.23 (95% CI: 0.82-1.83). However this is not a trial of zinc per se. this is a crude analysis of zinc, and it doesn’t appear thoroughly adjusted per se. this a quick appendix analysis. Just to put fair caveat out there.
