Smaller crowd out on day 8 of D.C. protests, but outside St. John’s church hundreds are listening in heavy silence broken only by the occasional applause to MLK Jr.s “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop” speech.
Heavy rain coming down now as protest moves closer to the barriers set up around the White House, chanting “Black lives matter!”
Gutters are rushing with water as protesters stand drenched keeping up chants of “Say his name! George Floyd!” “Say here name! Breonna Taylor!” 
Looks like the rain deluge hasn’t sent any large number of protesters home, crowd holding outside the White House.
