I'll be out in the streets of Portland, keeping an eye on things and livestreaming if that is useful. Many people are gathering in spots all over town, and it seems like there may be an effort to sanctify the Sacred Fence with the names of black victims of police violence.
Pretty huge crowd gathered once more at Revolution Hall. As large a crowd as I've seen here this week, for sure. The rain does not appear to be damping anyone's spirits. And there are many umbrellas.
The sound system seems to have gotten a nice upgrade, too.
The streets around the park are pretty jammed too.
Protest infastructure continues to get larger and more impressive. There is food, water, squirt bottles for tear gas, socks, ear plugs- everything folks might need for a trip to the Sacred Fence.
Here we see a water car, which is being funded by donations to people who scan the venmo code.
I am rolling downtown because I am very tired of marching across bridges, although I support the idea.
Sizable Police presence out in front of the Justice Center, where the Sacred Fence seems to have been reinforced with concrete vehicle barriers.
We have an awful lot of sheriff's in front of the Justice Center. Also, here is every Portlander's favorite fence from another side.
A sizable and growing demonstration here in Chapman Square. A speaker tells the crowd "We are not here to negotiate" and "we are going to stay out in the streets until our demands get met".

"We are not out here during the first global pandemic in 100 years to negotiate."
A segment of a speech here, where a Portlander expresses deep anger at the Police use of tear gas. The Police do not seem moved.
Here we see Mayor Ted Wheeler, blue mask center, being held accountable for the actions of his Police Bureau by his citizens.
Ted's speech does not start out super great.
Here we see Mayor Wheeler promising that the Police LRAD (sound cannon) will not be used. He doesn't promise that tear gas won't be used, but he expresses his desire to ban it for 30 days starting tomorrow.
Boy howdy a lot of Portlanders seem to be angry about the mass use of tear gas by the Portland Police Bureau.
A speech about White Supremacy. After this bit, she notes that Martin Luther King Jr. did not support peaceful protest "he was out here for non violent protest. And the last time I checked, property damage doesn't hurt a soul."
We have some demands, starting with the abolishing of the Portland Police Bureau.
Part 2.
Very powerful list of demands and speech here. Mayor Wheeler does not look super comfortable here.
More on abolishing and disarming the Portland Police Bureau. Interesting looks on those officer's faces.
Some facial reactions from the Police to this. No one puts down their arms, that is for sure.
She begs for white activists to keep coming out, and to do more than just retweet her on Twitter. And, she says "we need to talk about Fred Hampton" (Speech below)
Goddamn what a speech.
Apologies, Lilith uses "they/them" pronouns. My fuck up here. I got in late.
The crowd arrives from marching across the bridge, and Ted looks scared.
I have never more enjoyed looking at the wall of a Federal Courthouse.
A message to the embattled United States from Portland, Oregon.
This is, uh, a very well prepared crowd.
It is now OK to touch the fence. Not sure when that stopped being a gassable offense, but it appears to be fine now.
People are kinda just heckling the cops and partying. Pretty high spirits in the crowd tonight.
There are some polite conversations occurring between some of the more talkative officers and some of protesters.
Hooooo lordy that did not last.
This fellow approaches the PPB for a statement on his rubber bullet injury.
That is quite a sight.
On a newspaper dispense-y thing.
