We continue our #DDay76 commemoration.

In a D Day radio address 76 years ago tonight, FDR told us "we shall prevail." And that is again an important message for our Nation in these trying times. We shall prevail.

1/9
We, as a Nation, must listen, learn, and improve - and have empathy and compassion for each other - and we will prevail.

2/9
As our D Day commemoration demonstrates, this great Nation prevailed when the world was faced with tyranny.

3/9
While imperfect & with a checkered past, this great Nation has long stood against bullies.

4/9
Although we haven't always gotten it right, the United States has long supported those who need protection and empowerment.

5/9
This great Nation survived a war for its independence and a war with itself, a Depression, two World Wars, internal strife, wars people forgot and wars people want to forget, a Cold War, and many other challenges.

6/9
This great Nation has seen leadership changes, industrialization, societal advancements, rights to vote, equality improved and improving. This great Nation is still pushing for more.

7/9
Because we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights.

8/9
This great Nation has come together and thrived, and suffered, and thrived again. And this great Nation will continue to do so.
