Six months ago the usual suspects were (correctly) decrying the growing privatization of prisons, pointing out that for-profit lockups are incentivized to mistreat inmates and lengthen their sentences.
Blackwater and its ilk will be delighted to manage the criminal justice system end-to-end, from uniformed thugs patrolling the streets without public accountability, to private prisons profiting from slave labor.

Under this scheme we are no longer to be protected from police brutality as of right, but supposedly shielded purely by consumer choice.
