RM 6 ' Captain Cook ' converted Napier road vehicle completed at Ipswich railway workshops in 1916. It was used on the Cooktown to Laura railway.

RM 6 and RM 32 'Endeavour' a 45 horse power petrol rail motor, in 1929 shortly after its arrival.

RM 6 was withdrawn. RM 32 replaced by RM 23 in 1944. RM 23 replaced by RM 25 in 1950. RM 58 parts sent from Cairns 1958 and built using some RM 23 parts.

The Cairns railway workshops painted two nameboards for "Endeavour" but these were never fitted. The Cooktown Railway closed 31 December 1961.
