Panhard rail motor number 23 then RM14 (renumbered 1927)
based on a Panhard Levassor road wagon built at the Ipswich Railway Workshops in 1918, 20 – 22 horsepower petrol engine

This car is a Panhard Et Levassor which is a 4 cylinder 24 horsepower vehicle. It is thought this was the car used for RM 14.

Panhard was worked hard on the Normanton - Croydon railway from 1922 till the arrival of RM 31 in 1929.
2011 RM14 was taken to Normanton’s for the 120th anniversary celebrations of the Gulflander rail service

The rail ambulances were used because roads poor & often impassable. Railway employees would volunteer to operate to ensure safe working. Most converted road vehicles or rail trolleys.

So all the main classes and rail motors now complete.
There were a few lesser known ' motors '.
One in particular. It was a random find when ' fishing ' in the digital collection at SLQ.

In 1922 all suburban stations had low level platforms.
Sir Matthew was Governor of Qld at the time and travelled widely in the state.
So the search began. Found this.
