If Boris Johnson supports the cause but not the method then he should announce an immediate review into monuments to those who substantially benefited from slavery with the intention of removing them asap
I mean, it doesn't seem there is any real argument for keeping them up as if they were just lovely guys who helped people. If the govt wants to put them in a museum to the slave trade and colonialism I would also support that
Ultimately, yesterday's incident was the culmination of a state failure to address the legacy of slavery, it's the state which should be remedying this. All of the govt ministers who are solemnly tweeting they support anti-racism but not the method can do something about that
