Launching his #NATO2030 reflection on strengthening the Alliance in an increasingly competitive world, @JenStoltenberg says "COVID-19 has changed our lives in ways we could barely imagine… and magnified existing trends"—from Russia & ISIL to disinformation & the rise of China.

"The rise of China is… shifting the global balance of power," says @JensStoltenberg—"heating up the race for economic & technological supremacy; multiplying threats to open societies & individual freedoms & increasing competition over our values & our way of life." #NATO2030

"#NATO2030 is about how we adapt to this new normal," says @JensStoltenberg.The Alliance, he says, must:

1. Stay strong militarily.
2. Be more united politically.
3. And take a broader approach globally.
