NEW: Our national survey completed this weekend finds strong public rejection of Trump’s handling of the protests that have followed the killing of George Floyd and of the way Trump has dealt with the mistreatment of black people by police.
Trump is not just on the wrong side of history, our poll shows he is on the wrong side of all the numbers.

The following tweets tell the story.
60% disapprove of the way Trump is dealing with the unrest that is going on in the country, including 47% who strongly disapprove. Nearly all Democrats disapprove, as do 69% of independents and 20% of Republicans.
The verbatim comments from those who disapprove are damning: they talk about Trump’s divisiveness, his lack of leadership and lack of compassion, his promotion of excessive force, and his failure to address racial injustice and police brutality.
By 64% to 36%, voters say Trump is doing more to exacerbate and worsen tensions than to ease and calm the tensions; 30% of Republicans criticize him on this score.
56% say mistreatment of black people by police is a very serious problem, and another 30% say it is a somewhat serious problem. 80% of African Americans, 71% of Hispanics, and 48% of whites say it is very serious problem.
63% say Trump is doing too little to address the mistreatment of black people by police. 83% percent of those who think it is a very serious problem say he is doing too little about it. 21% percent of his own voters say he is doing too little about it.
63% say Trump either encourages (37%) or tolerates (26%) mistreatment of black people by police. Only 37% believe Trump opposes mistreatment of black people by police.
A large majority are sympathetic to the protests.

59% say the protests are a legitimate effort by people to speak out against racial injustice, compared to 41% who identify the protests with rioting and looting
Voters have come to a negative conclusion about the nature of Trump's heart.

59% say he lacks compassion and empathy for the problems of others, while just 26% say he cares about the average person.
The impact of Trump’s failures of on coronavirus and racial justice is reflected in the trial heat.

Trump now trails Biden by 53% to 41%, with a sample whose self-reported 2016 vote is 48% Clinton, 47% Trump.
It still could get worse for Trump: 56% say it time for a change and someone new, while just 36% say Trump deserves four more years as president.
The survey was conducted online June 3-6 with a representative national sample of 1,223 voters. Party ID of the sample is 43% Democrat, 19% Independent, 38% Republican. The poll was supported by @MajorityPAC and @prioritiesUSA
