Trump's decision to bring back Paul Manafort should be setting off huge alarms bells and yet it is hardly registering in the mainstream media. Trump is laying out a virtual welcome mat for Putin.

Just imagine if the shoe were on the other foot. The last time Manafort oversaw a Republican convention for Trump: Image

Poll after poll shows that the vast majority of voters support giving Medicare the power to negotiate with drug company for lower prices, and support for Medicare drug price negotiations withstands any attack that the drug companies and their allies might throw at it. Support for Medicare drug price negotiations is strong across party lines - in large part because voters across party lines see that drug companies are charging unreasonable amounts for medicines

Our new national survey for @ProtectOurCare shows that a large majority of voters want Congress to act urgently on coronavirus legislation, and favor a bigger and more comprehensive bill over one that costs less but does less. A 61% majority say it is VERY important for Congress to pass additional legislation to deal with COVID impacts; another 21% say it is fairly important. Fully 76% want Congress to act in the next few weeks rather than waiting until next year.

NEW: Our national survey completed this weekend finds strong public rejection of Trump’s handling of the protests that have followed the killing of George Floyd and of the way Trump has dealt with the mistreatment of black people by police. Trump is not just on the wrong side of history, our poll shows he is on the wrong side of all the numbers.

The following tweets tell the story.

Trump’s rush to open the economy is totally out of sync with public opinion. Here are several findings in that regard.

1. The clear priority for the large majority of Americans right now is slowing and stopping the spread of the virus. 2. Americans obviously are very concerned about the short-term and long-term financial toll of the pandemic on them and their families, but they are even more concerned about the possibility that they or someone in their family will become infected by the virus.

1. In new polling for @MajorityPAC , Maine voters see @SenatorCollins as driven by political self-interest, not principle. The results show Collins' already weak position will be further weakened by aligning so closely with Trump and McConnell on impeachment. 2. The important context here is that a majority of Maine voters believe that President Trump is guilty of
abusing the power of his office

Results from the new Politico-Morning Consult poll shows why the politics of the shutdown are so bad for Trump and GOP senators who abet him.

First, only 24% of voters consider the border wall to be a top priority. Half of Republican voters do not consider it a top priority. Second, by 3 to 1, voters say a president should take all steps necessary to AVOID a shutdown, with only 22% saying a president should allow a temporary shutdown to achieve policy goals. Republican voters oppose shutdowns by 48% to 41%

Key findings from our new @LawWorksAction poll on Mueller investigation:

1. Large majorities say Mueller should be able to complete his investigation and follow the facts where they lead. 68% of Republicans agree it would be an abuse of power for Trump to stop investigation. 2. There is almost universal support for making Mueller's report public, and voters oppose letting Trump decide on his own to withhold certain portions of the report. "The public has a right to know if the President was involved in serious crimes."
