John Cardiff Gerhardt is a QAnon follower and candidate for the NV State Assembly. His campaign promise is to push for a state constitutional convention, during which he will introduce a brand new state constitution.

I thought I'd take a look at his proposed constitution.
Gerhardt's proposed constitution begins on a surprisingly woke note, declaring "Women, children, financially impoverished and non-white men have not been treated with the same respect at those unmentioned!"

Further evidence that Qanon has broader appeal than commonly assumed.
The draft constitution declares that after it replaces the old one "all who claim to be Nevadan and oppose this constitution shall be considered a possible member of the Devil’s Coup; a potential Deep State traitor."

Harsh words form someone who opposes the current constitution.
Gerhardt is apparently not much of a romantic. His constitution defines marriage as "a contract involving
the intermingling of money & sex."

His section on marriage also includes a baffling clause on how "selfish" individuals lead to a "higher likelihood of criminal activity."
His constitution takes on Software End User License Agreements that violate privacy, because "we Nevadans may sign contracts we neither read nor intend to completely obey in order to acquire popular items and
softwares."

No lies here.
The draft constitution has an interesting spin on the 13th amendment, declaring that Nevadans aren't slaves to anyone except for "the People of Nevada collectively."

It specifies that no "alien race may claim Nevadans as slaves."

Honestly, that's a smart precaution.
Now we're cooking:
"The State of Nevada recognizes a devil's coup involving central banking and money worshippers acting in the best interest of a Cabal which leverages blackmail, slavery, and torture to extract the innocence from People to control & corrupt the State of Nevada."
The draft constitution includes a "Preamble" that, confusingly, appears on page 5, after all of the above sections.

It declares that "Our beloved State of Nevada has awakened to protect the existence of our God-given freedom as we shed The Cabal and other parasites..."
The draft constitution doesn't just grant free speech rights, but also posting rights. It says Nevadans have the right "to write anything on any topic, and publish their sentiments anywhere."

It also forbids freedom of the press to be used to "brainwash the people of Nevada."
In the draft constitution's most radical section, children who don't like their parents are granted the right to be adopted by another family.

Kids can also get rid of "parental liabilities which are leveraged to provoke involuntary servitude."

Which I think means "no chores."
If there's any sanity to be found in the draft constitution, it's in the section on right to privacy and prohibiting mass surveillance. It could use some refining, but I can get on board with this.
The draft constitution also extends rights to animals, insects, and even plants.

This just opens the door to being sued by dandelions for using weed killer.
Gerhardt's proposed constitution establishes three new judicial branch offices: Chief of Justice, Chief of Logic, and Chief of Reason.

The Chief of Reason "is duly bound to project Nevada's honorable voice of reason using conscious, emotional & spiritual perspective."
The draft constitution offers an interesting spin on the 2nd amendment as well, declaring "The Militia can only be formed by the people of Nevada anywhere in the Galaxy."

This, legally speaking, wouldn't protect Nevadans who wish to form a militia in the Andromeda galaxy.
