1. Tutorial on 'Defund the Police'

Don't try to analyze it as if it is an English language sentence or a slogan. You will be wasting your time just as surely as you would if you have an exchange with a bot on Twitter.

It is not a sentence. It is a primal grunt. But...

2. Don't underestimate the intelligence behind 'Defund the Police.' It is extremely purposeful. Allow me to explain by an analogy.

Do you remember receiving an email that a Nigerian prince had left you a fortune? And all you had to do was respond with a few details to claim it.

3. Also, do you remember junking it because you knew it was a fraud (if you did not junk it, please stop reading the rest of the thread, it's not for you)? Now, how did you know it was a fraud? Your general knowledge of the world maybe, but I want to point out another thing.

4. You may also have noticed that there were numerous spelling and grammatical errors in the email, making it very clear to you that it was written by someone with barely much knowledge of the English language, and quite likely a school dropout, and a foreigner?

5. Well, do you think those email are indeed written by barely educated neophytes trying to defraud you? Guess again? No, those Nigerian emails are written by highly sophisticated (think Ivy League caliber) organized crime kingpins and their equally qualified minions.

6. Surprised? Don't be. Just know why they write those emails with all those obvious flubs (well obvious to the educated folks like yourself). They write them that way precisely to make sure you wouldn't respond. They don't want someone educated like you to respond.

7. It is a waste of valuable time and resources for them if you respond. The email is just a bait. They want you to follow it up with a payment (to cover expenses for transferring a fortune to you) without asking too many intelligent questions.

8. If you ask questions, you will not come through, and they would have wasted their resources on you. You represent a dead loss to them. They want you to self-select out of the process by not responding. They turn you off, or filter you out, with broken English.

9. They only want patsies who cannot tell good English from bad, because those kind of people are their most profitable targets to defraud. You get the picture.

Coming back to 'Defund the Police.' Same concept, professionally applied to the political domain.

10. The slogan is designed to attract either the uneducated, or the highly educated but extremely guilt-ridden liberals, artists, actors, painters and the like with very little wherewithal to think critically, but with a surplus of emotion, attitude, and need to virtue-signal.

11. If you question the intelligence or wisdom of such an obviously mindless slogan as 'Defund the Police,' you are not their target, and they don't give a damn if you are disgusted.

12. The masterminds behind this movement are leftists and anarchists. Their goal is not to solve any real problems. Their goal is to create a movement behind the idea that the society is full of problems that are unfixable. How do you think destructive revolutions are created?

13. If you are the type who might subject the slogan to even a transient moment of critical reflection, they don't want you. This is a primal grunt to separate the mindless devotees from those with minds of their own.

Know this and react accordingly.
