To sum up my thoughts about the ending, Heather saving Bill does not negate anything that happens to Bill. And because Heather wasn't important to Bill, there is no emotional payoff for Heather randomly reappearing to "save" her. #TBODWeaksauce
Furthermore, Heather gives Bill the option to go back home and Bill declines. This is a specific choice the writer made... So let's begin #TBODWeaksauce
The Best of Days tells us that Nordole is still on the ship saving humans from Cybermen (yay for him I guess). And Bill is on Earth, having "broken up" with her "girlfriend" who she never actually dated... But okay #TBODWeaksauce
Bill, who said "I'm good" when asked if she wanted to go back home is now... At home. Cool. Retroactive fix, I'll allow it. #TBODWeaksauce
Bill tells Nardie that it's "a bit tricky down here." We love an understatement.

Now, because we all watched that in the literal midst of protests for Black Lives Matter / Defund the Police it is pretty clear that Bill is alluding to. We can use the context of the current news cycle to fill in the very huge blanks. #TBODWeaksauce
BUT if someone is watching this in a few months, in a few years, what will they glean from it? Will they know that Bill was in the streets demanding justice for George Floyd?! #TBODWeaksauce
Will people know that Bill was in the streets shouting Black Lives Matter?! Can they guess? They'll have to. Because it's never said. It's barely even hinted at. What's WEAK SAUCE is doing the bare minimum and expecting us to be thankful for it. #TBODWeaksauce
I'm grateful to the creators and actors who continue to expand the world we love so much and I appreciate the time and energy that has gone into these additional bits of story. That work hasn't gone unnoticed and I'm thankful for it. #TBODWeaksauce
BUT I won't pretend to like something because it feels good to have something new. Nor will I give undue credit for doing the bare minimum. Giving us a better ending for Bill years after the fact doesn't undo anything. But I'm happy she's alive, so there that. #TBODWeaksauce
Even if the BBC (or whoever) didn't want to say it with their chests, there are ways to not name it, and still be explicit about it, like "we're marching because, well... The people who are supposed to protect and serve... Haven't" #TBODWeaksauce
Bill is a Black, queer, woman. She would be out in the streets with her rainbow mask with the Black power fist (see attached) yelling BLACK LIVES MATTER at the top of her lungs! She wouldn't be timid about it. She'd be gathering Shereen and the gang to support. #TBODWeaksauce 
The Best of Days is a cute little minisode that does not enrich the story or use its time to say anything real or move any conversation forward. It's a lollipop— it's sweet, but doesn't detract from the fact that the needle hurts and leaves a scar. #TBODWeaksauce
