Brexit is one step in the program of the kleptocratic right to destroy the ability of democracies to tax and regulate the very rich. It is an example of economist James Buchanan's stealth attacks on the democracies that he described as parasites.

Buchanan's ideas were taken up by the Koch brothers who have used their immense fortune gained from ownership of polluting industries to drive US and indirectly British politics ever further towards the libertarian right. 'Libertarian' meaning liberty for the very rich.
But we have our own native variant of this kleptocratic libertarian fundamentalism in the form of the ideas of William Rees-Mogg who saw democracies as criminal cartels and envisaged the super-rich first breaking free from them and then taking control as Sovereign Individuals. 
Here's a tweet from former Tory MEP Charles Tannock, a very sensible and calm fellow. His assessment of the Tory Brexiters is that they want to destroy the entire post-1945 global order. And what is to replace it? Well clearly the rule of William Rees-Mogg's Sovereign individuals
We are not engaged in politics as usual. This is not the usual to-and-fro between left and right. Instead we are faced with an international kleptocratic attack on democracy itself. Our opponents will violate the rules and norms of democracy to win.
The klepocratic or libertarian right won't destroy democracy through violence. They will do it by depriving nations of tax revenues, and by cynically whipping up the politics of fear, hate, ignorance and social conflict, to mask and enable their advance into power.
In 2010 former ERG chairman Steve Baker MP speaking to the Libertarian Alliance called for the EU to be "wholly torn down", a move that would devastate European economies, profit Putin, and shatter the largest obstacle to kleptocratic domination.
