House Intel Source Says CrowdStrike Evidence Wasn’t ‘Most Compelling’ Among Sources Used to Conclude Russians Stole DNC Emails

theepochtimes.com/house-intel-so…
For those following the CrowdStrike story, beyond the headline there is one new statement from CrowdStrike which raises many questions:

“There is no indication that there was ever a breach on any DNC server or computer protected by CrowdStrike’s technology.”
Per Robert Mueller, DNC's Microsoft Exchange Server was hacked between May 25 and June 1, 2016.

At that point CrowdStrike had been engaged to protect the DNC for more than three weeks.
If CrowdStrike was protecting the Exchange server, the company is saying it wasn't hacked, contradicting Mueller's allegation.

If CrowdStrike was not protecting the server, it would be good to know if DNC was aware that its emails were up for grabs despite CS's protection.
CrowdStrike would not tell me whether the Exchange server was protected or not, which suggests that both no and yes are inconvenient answers.
CrowdStrike would not tell me whether the Microsoft Exchange Server was protected or not.
CrowdStrike co-founder Dmitriy Alperovitch told Esquire DNC installed the Falcon software on the DNC systems on May 5.

CrowdStrike president Shawn Henry said CrowdStrike was working to protect the DNC.

CrowdStrike website says Falcon is a "breach prevention" software.
It's possible that ...

... falcon was installed on systems other than the Microsoft Exchange Server

... Henry's definition of "protect" meant ousting the hackers, not preventing theft

... there is a version of Falcon that's not focused on breach prevention.
