I don't have words for how hurt and physically ill I am after reading her diatribe. Do NOT read it. I'm pretty thick skinned and well prepared for her bullshit and I'm still sobbing writing this.
I keep trying to add to this and stopping to cry more. It's like she's finally knocked the wind out of me. I feel like giving up.
I'm still hurt & upset. But it's slowly turning to righteous anger. #WeAreNotConfused
We are not manipulated by The Trans Agenda™ and internalised homophobia.
We. Are. Trans.
Trans women are women
Trans men are men
NonBinary people are NonBinary
Harry Potter belongs to the fans.
I swear, if one more cis person tries to cut me off and pacify me with
"but she's just one woman"
I am going to lose my shit. She's not 'just' one woman. She's become a figurehead for a hate filled movement which is killing trans people. Listen to us and do your goddamn research!

@BlindFury_5428 "Finally, there's a braille smartwatch. The Dot Watch is bringing modern innovation to the visually impaired. The face features 24 shifting dots. That are powered by magnets and electrical signals. And linked to a smartphone via Bluetooth."

@BlindFury_5428 To display time, texts and app notifications. "Dot" not only revolutionises bulky and expensive machines but it provides the freedom of a wearable many sighted people enjoy. An estimated 285 million people worldwide are visually impaired. The company hopes to expand its products
@BlindFury_5428 By introducing a "Dot pad" and a "Dot mini" that can teach braille bringing education and technology right to their fingertips. Making Dot more than just a stylish accessory.
(The pads are small tablets with a panel for the dots, a few push buttons and inbuilt speakers)
This is so right on. Having just been through a suicide attempt in the midst of everyone "talking about it" around Suicide prevention week, I can confirm it's a useless platitude and pretty crap advice.
Without exception, my close support network are mentally ill or/and disabled. Most have had MH crises in the last year (surprise). Most have semi-regular issues with ideation. We understand it and each other and we can talk about it in consensual way.
CW: Suicide
But if you're a MI person in crisis, and you knows 2/3 of your network are also in crisis, and the 3rd you've not heard from in a few days which probably means they are as well - who are you supposed to talk to?
Some feelings re GRA news: I'm frustrated, upset, and aware that it feels likely but it's not an official statement. I'm mostly relieved there's no roll backs. The terfs have done damage with disinformation but that's all it is. Self ID is still a thing. This was about a document
I'll link helpful takes rather than rehashing, but essentially self ID gives us the ability to change almost all of our documents. This was about changing sex markers on birth certificates - important, but only in very specific places. We still have access everywhere we should.
That's what needs to be explained. And that's where you come in, cis people. We're so exhausted from having this conversation. A great example (and thread) of real allyship.
I had a frustrating fat convo with the GP. She's starting to feel over inquisitive about my GIC stuff, not inappropriate yet but the signs are there.
I asked to weigh myself because I have an Endo appt next week and I don't own scales
CW weight
She asked if I need to be a certain weight, I explained it's based on BMI < 30 which is bullshit bc BMI is bullshit.
-Hm. Well there's different plans we can try...
-No.
I'd literally just got done telling her that I didn't eat for 3 days because of pain+fatigue etc
CW weight
-Well where are you in terms of BMI? (no chart)
-Luckily I think I'm pretty close but it doesn't matter bc I'll fight it. I'm not an average of multiple able bodied men for a sociological study. BMI should be banned in medical practice
-Hm. Well we'll see.
I've been talking about this for ~5 months and I just had someone I see DAILY tell me "I didn't know" and "they can't do that" and "at least they found out quickly"
This was reported by the BBC in APRIL. How many people could've been saved if you cared?
CW: DNR Eugenics
An April article. When this came out disabled people were begging for our lives. Mainstream discourse was "Ofc we should use triage methods for prioritising care, that's just logical."
You enabled this. bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-en…
CW: DNR Eugenics
The faux outrage and crocodile tears makes me so angry. Where were you when we told you this was the beginning of a cull? Oh that's right. Talking about "well they had preexisting conditions".
CW: Describes experiencing triggers as someone with PTSD/C-PTSD, references to abuse.
Really good thread regarding the casual use of the word triggered by "allies"
I'll probably thread later when I've clarified my thoughts through the brain fog
Still thinking.
I've been in what feels like a tunnel of triggers for the last 6 months. I've spent more of lockdown dissociating than lucid. I've lost so much time. I've sometimes forgotten to eat for 3 days. This is my existence

[CW triggers cPTSD]
When I experience a trigger (which can be a WORD on bad days) there's a few ways/combos of how I may react.
Shut down completely. Eyes open but no one home.
Shut down externally. The shutters are down and I'm screaming inside
Full flashbacks
Fainting
