How about a thread on all the different versions of the George Papadopoulos and Alexander Downer conversation that we've been told?

This will probably take all day...

Version 1: the headline starts so confidently, little did @MarkMazzettiNYT realize how much it would change

In Version 1 it's May 10th, with Downer, in the wine room, and the quote is that "Russia had Political Dirt on Hillary Clinton"

Here's Version 2, from the Mueller Report. Now it's May 6th, which precludes Downer from being in attendance and seems to implicate Erika Thompson as the suspiciously unnamed Representative of a Foreign Government.

Also now it's an offer of assistance, although it's unclear where that comes from, as that's not even a part of the irrelevant Mifsud tale.

Version 3 comes to us from both Andy McCabe and Bill Preistap. In this version, George only says that the Trump team has material.

Version 4: The recently released EC that contains verbatim language from the US Embassy claiming a now infamous "suggestion of a suggestion"

Whether George stated, implied, or the Aussies inferred, the suggestion is unclear. The second suggestion is incomprehensible without the first being explained.

Today we got Version 5! From some jackass judge who likely just blended everything together and spit out:

Then I guess you could include George himself, who has given several versions.
To Mueller he's repeating what the mysterious Mifsud has told him.

But in his version to @aaronjmate he's repeating what Judge Napolitano said on Fox News!

There's one final version that's still out there: The Downer 302.

Strzok and Pientka hopped on an airplane, AFTER opening the case, and interviewed Downer and Thompson. Just the 4 of them in a room. Pientka likely took notes.

My guess is THAT is the truth.

But where is it?
