Everyone knows that Prithviraj was defeated in 2nd battle of tarain, 1192.

What if I tell you, that there was no such *battle*.

Here's the truth:

1178 AD

Ghori decided to attack india from western side.

His forces marched towards Chaulukya territory.

He came face to face with chaulukya forces of young Mularaja.

In the battle that followed, Muslim forces were beaten black and Blue.

Ghori surrendered to Chaulukya commander Jhallerswar Raj Durjanshah ji.

1190-91 AD

Ghori attacked and captured fort of tabarhindah, and left an army of 1200 cavalry to guard it .

But, then he found out that Prithviraj was coming towards him with a large army.

Both armies met in Tarain.

Attack of Hindus was so severe that both flanks of Ghori were completely destroyed.

Ghori, meanwhile attacked Govinda raja, and broke 2 of His front Teeth.

In return, Govinda raja sent a flying javelin, which pierced upper arm of Ghori.

He was about to fall, but was saved.

But,

His army wasn't pursued by chauhans, and allowed to retreat.

*1192AD*

By now, Ghori was defeated twice by Hindus.

He set out once again to avenge his defeat, with 120000 cavalry.

Both armies met at Tarain again.

But this time, Ghori played a trick.

He told prithviraj that he was there on tge orders of his brother, and he didn't wanted to Fight.

He asked prithviraj for some time to consult with his brother.

Then in the dark of night (before dawn) his army attacked Hindus.

But, all was not lost.

The Hindus, put up a Fierce fight, only to be Deceived once again by ghori.

That Day, at least 10000 Indians fell Fighting.

Prithviraj Chauhan was Captured.
