A Google N-gram search on the terms "Aryan" and "Aryan Invasion" is fascinating. After the first war of Independence in 1857, the British started to pay special attention to colonizing the Indian mind via education. Notice how the graph explodes starting from then peaking in 1880 
Zooming down on just Aryan Invasion, the graph follows a similar pattern.
The cycles are interesting. "Aryan Invasion" again spikes up in the 1990s in India on the back of the "Mandal" agitation when "caste" had to be spun up again.
