It doesn't matter what I have.
While at home, it is home cooked food.
When office was on, it was the evening snack. Mostly fried.
It used to be a normal Indian breakfast, rotating between Dosa, Idli, Poha, Parantha, Suji Pooda.
Now it is a fruit smoothie - watermelon, mango, chaulai, pudina, almonds, cashew, walnut, chia seeds, melon seeds - all mixed.
This sounds pretty basic.
Here are things that have helped though...
I sleep at 930pm everday.
And wake up between 445-515am.
This ensures that I do not feel hungry at night and it gives me the bare minimum rest my body needs.
This is a big one, and it works wonderfully for me. I do not drink anything except water (and the morning smoothie).
No alcohol, no tea/coffee, no aerated drinks, no fruit juices.
OK - Nimbu Paani occasionally.
I say ideally, because I haven't been able to get to NO sugar as yet.
We don't keep any unnatural sugar in the household. No sweets or chocolates or anything similar.
I don't trust motivation to help me! :)
I drink 4-6 liters everyday.
Keep sipping.
Not from a glass.
A large 2ltr bottle.
Always around.
Am a vegan (no - actually not. I have pizza cheese and curd)
Have been a vegetarian for 20 years.
Quit egg 2 years back.
Leaving curd didn't suit me well at all. So went back to it. Can't give up on Pizza.
Being vegan hasn't made a really big difference. At least I do not feel it.
There is no lethargy, no sense of discomfort and surely no guilt.
I am convinced it is not just the IF, but the high quality sleep too, that helps.
More importantly, would love to know and learn from the experience of others, who have gone about IF in their own ways.
