I've issued a legal notice to Under-Secretary (Funds), PMO for failure to provide me with copies of the trust deed & accounts of the PM CARES fund.

The refusal to provide these documents is a violation of Sec. 19 & 57 of The Indian Trusts Act, 1882. (explained below)

PM CARES has been established as a "public charitable trust".

Therefore, the "beneficiaries" of this trust are all citizens of India.

And that includes me.

Here's what Sec. 19 of The Indian Trusts Act states:

Similarly, Sec. 57 entitles me (and all of you) to inspect and take copies of instrument of trust, accounts, etc.

In addition, I shall continue to seek redressal through all other available laws & RTI appeals in order to get a copy of PM CARES trust deed & its accounts.

This is probably the biggest scam in Indian history & thats why info is being stonewalled.

The fight must go on.

PS: It may be argued that Trust Act doesn’t apply to public charitable funds.

Funnily they left a loophole.

In PMNRF vs Aseem Takyar, Govt. submitted that PMNRF is actually a “private trust”.

PMCARES, they’ve said, is administered along the lines of PMNRF.

So let’s see :)
