I have to wonder what might've been written that wasn't okayed... was the licencor just too backed up to properly vet the script? it's absurd to think they'd be fine with sharing all this material but only devoid of context ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 
that's re: the new Samsho compilation, btw—the museum's full of inside documents that'll mean absolutely nothing to most people because they've been unceremoniously dumped in a submenu, it might as well be a dropbox link on the website for all the difference it'd make
not saying I don't believe the dev when they say it wasn't their call, either—they're clearly not done working on this and I'd like to think they will, at some point, be able to comprehensively annotate all this material alongside everything else that needs touching up
