Racism is not fascism. Racism is structuring violence borne of European colonialism and white supremacy. Racism is not just "ignorance" "hate" & street attacks. It's the basis of this society. It's made by Parliament, police & prison.
it's been reproduced in Britain by trade unions & other institutions of the left. By media discourse. It's reproduced by white national identity, by consistent majoritarian support for racist policies & a lack of historical solidarity w/ racialised ppl in this society & elsewhere
BLM and its manifestation here is such a massive chance to launch a counter assault on this reactionary country. Look how much they're losing their shit over a couple of statues but also look how consciousness can be shifted in the midst of struggle and social upheaval
