A lot of people seem to misunderstand the First Amendment (which explains why they don’t understand the other 26 of them either).

Read what it says:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
The First Amendment doesn’t mean that we have a Constitutional right to have a talk show put on the air by a major broadcast company. If it works out that way and the alignment of network, sponsors and listeners align, great. But it’s not a right.
The First Amendment doesn’t mean that private corporations such as Twitter and Facebook have to allow us to use their platforms to say anything and everything we want.
And the First Amendment doesn’t give us the fight to say whatever we want to say without being challenged on it.

Most of the things people allege are suppression of their First Amendment rights really aren’t.
Again:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances”
And then please explain to me, some of you, why you think it wasn’t a violation of the First Amendment to use the military to clear out thousands of mostly law-abiding protesters.

But you think it WAS one for Twitter to fact-check President Trump.
