The idea that Xi Jinping is going to be overthrown any day now by intra-party opposition is 110% cope. The "reform the party" aka surrender to America camp was defeated years ago and and everything that has occurred since then only validates the victory of the orthodox faction.
"Party insiders" aka no one in a position of decision making power talking shit about Xi Jinping to their Western media fixers isn't a sign of growing opposition, it's a sign that their defeat and desperation is so total that bad mouthing to enemy media is all they have left.
If they had any power, they would be affecting policy or at least affecting personnel appointments. Writing op eds to the China Digital Times proves they don't have shit for influence and are basically itching to get purged out of spite.
