Thread: Meet Michelle Caruso-Cabrera (@MCaruso_Cabrera / MCC), the self admitted far right leaning candidate attempting to primary Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) in #NY14.
MCC platformed alt-right Steve Bannon, liked a #MCCMAGA tweet, and holds extreme Republican positions.
When MCC decided to run against AOC, she began getting well wishes from MAGA minded supporters.
MCC liked ❤️ a tweet linking her with MAGA (#MCCMAGA) from a self-described build the wall supporting deplorable.
MCC liked ❤️ more tweets from MAGA Republican supporters with phrases such as:
“Make America greater”
“The naive extreme left minority will prove themselves to be a flash in the pan”
“I’m a Republican and I just donated to her campaign. AOC needs to go.”
MCC liked ❤️ tweets and took money from the Twitter account “Say no to Liberal Fascists” which tweeted, “may God be with you as you run against the enemy AOC.” One tweet contained the tags #RNC2020 and #RedorDead2020.
While promoting her book, “You Know I’m Right,” MCC affirmed she is *a sort of Republican* that leans “more toward the conservative side” choosing to value the right’s fiscal policies over the left’s social policies, specially mentioning “bedroom,” code for LGBTQ rights.
IN 2008, MCC appeared on MSNBC with Rachel Maddow and proclaimed, “I lean very far to the right,” and attacked moderate Republican spending bills.
In this clip MCC agrees that Obama makes Bush look good on spending and basically goes on a Tea Party-esque rant.
In a Rick Perry moment, MCC advocates for cutting the Departments of Energy, Labor, Commerce, and Education.
MCC also suggested cutting Medicare, saying it encourages people to consume more and more and not be a good users of it.
MCC has also made appearances on Real Time with Bill Maher. In this clip, MCC says she didn’t like the policies Obama passed in his first term. This would include the Affordable Care Act / Obamacare.
Bill Maher: “So you’re saying the crash of 2008 would’ve been abetted with less regulation?”
MCC: “Yes...absolutely!”
Here is AOC’s Democratic Primary Challenger, MCC on Bill Maher’s show criticizing Obama for being too liberal and believing government can solve healthcare.
MCC goes on to say that neither employers, nor the government should be providing healthcare. She believes people should all, individually, buy their own health insurance.
MCC even comes out against mandatory car insurance.
Bill Maher: “What about the 40, 50, 60 million people who can’t afford to buy health insurance? That’s sort of what this is about.”
MCC: “If the government weren’t so involved it would be cheaper and far more affordable.”
MCC slaps her book and says “chapter 8.”
Here MCC attacks the healthcare systems of France and Germany.
It is clear MCC is against heath care benefits altogether, is against Obamacare and Medicare, and believes tens of millions of people should shop for health insurance individually.
MCC platformed alt-right Steve Bannon on CNBC. Bannon gave much praise to Trump and “economic nationalism” for several minutes.
In the interview with Bannon, MCC brings up the child separation policy and allows Bannon defend the policy with very little to zero pushback.
In another clip while on HBO, MCC praises the Tea Party for what she sees are “focusing on the fiscal issues and getting rid of the social issues.”
MCC again minimizes the importance of rights, this time both reproductive and gay rights.
Thread: MLK opposed the filibuster being used to block civil rights.
Dr. King said the March on Washington, where he delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech, would be a direct response to the filibuster.
(🎥 August 12th, 1963)
Martin Luther King, Jr. believed a filibuster of civil rights legislation would be a “blatant abuse of the legislative and democratic process.”
(🎥 May 26th, 1964)
MLK called a filibuster of civil rights legislation a “tragedy” used by “misguided Senators” who “do not represent the majority of the American people.”
1/ Dave Portnoy once said he was going to say racist things, and then Portnoy and his Barstool staff proceeded to say racist things about Colin Kaepernick.
No credible company or sports league should be partnering with Barstool.
2/ Dave Portnoy and Barstool said Colin Kaepernick had “terrorist skin,” “looks like a terrorist,” “isn’t really that Black” and his biracial and adopted situation “was all jacked up.”
🚨 Conservatives has been blaming New York fire deaths on the vaccine mandate, but it turns out FDNY has been organizing to fake injuries and sick outs to protest the mandate according to anti-vax protester Michael Bruno who works with the husband of a New York firefighter.
Just before this, another anti-vaxxer was discussing how “two people died in the Bronx because of the lack of firemen.”
Also, when she shared how SDNY wasn’t picking up trash, Michael Bruno celebrated with a fist pump.
These anti-vaxxers are supposedly pro health.
One NYC anti-vaxxer said she knows someone on “NYPD Chat” who said “a lot of NYPD called in sick” to protest the vaccine mandates.
Meet Anti-mask/vax activist Curtis Goldstein (@homesbycurtis) who harasses masked school children and their parents with his megaphone as they walk home from school.
