Looking at CV8 there was a pretty solid 45% in favour of compromise with definite 35% which wanted OS. In effect it was down to @UnitePolitics 20% to decide. However the reasons for their vote r not covered here

@LabourList @MattWrack @ForwardMmtm @Open_Selection @UnitePolitics Because of the boundary review coming in 2023 and a General Election in prob June 2024, we are currently looking at 200+ CLPs for the THIRD TIME having their PPCs appointed by the NEC!
@LabourList @MattWrack @ForwardMmtm @Open_Selection @UnitePolitics So perhaps both @ForwardMmtm + @Mom_Renewal need to set out how we shd get the NEC to agree 100+ trained NEC Reps from Regional Execs, TUs and Soc Socs to take on role of ensuring we have 200+ @Open_Selection's in 6 months flat in 2023/24 ,which we will nor have had in a DECADE

What it actually needs is people recognising 25-30% of the entire @UKLabour membership will have been denied an @Open_Selection for a decade and putting in a simple practical activity for 2023/24 to solve that
