/9 There are certain man who are extremely jealous on behalf of their wive's little sisters. I don't know what kind of mental illness they suffer from. This is a thread about how I almost got killed by a very jealous man using a double edged sword.
/9 I was a third year student on attachment at Ndanga hospital the place of my forefathers. I was two of my besties one hailing from Ngomahuru, the other from Chegato. Our Ngomahuru guy had a homegirl who worked as a rehab technician at the hospital.
/9 On this particular Sunday our Ngomahuru friend tells us we have been invited for lunch at her homegirl's home. It turns out her young sister who was our friend's brother's ex had come for a visit. I didn't tried to excuse myself but I was outvoted.
/9 We get there and find out that a feast had been prepared for us. This would be our best meal in a long time. We sat down to eat whilst listening to fascinating tells about Ngomahuru village. I see this strange looking man opening the door and quickly close and walk away.
/9 No one seemed to have noticed this strange man apart from me. His behaviour shocked me and took my appetite away but I said nothing. Five minutes later, the same man is back holding a scary sword and shaking in anger. Murikutsvagei mumba mangu?
/9 I immediately started running and headed for the nearest door. Unfortunately I chose the wrong door, the main bedroom door. I open the door and immediately realize my mistake. Just then I notice that this monster is standing by the door. "Unodei mu bedroom mangu?", he barks.
/9 Realizing that I have nothing to lose I shout back, "Angithi uthe ngiphume endlini yakho, ngizaphuma ngewindi le bedroom yakho". He freezes and lets me pass him and I manage to find the correct door and off I go. I find my friends bolted up in their rooms.
/9 I later convince my friends that we should not be afraid of that man because we committed no crime. We later go to shops with my Mberengwa friend. On our way we are stopped by a guy who tells us we almost died because of our friend.
/9 He tells us his brother was angry because his wife's sister was going out with the Ngomahuru guy. I tell him that he and his brother deserve to be patients at Ngomahuru. I couldn't believe I almost died for no reason at all.
