1/ 4There is an interesting development in Zimbabwe where certain individuals have given themselves authority to speak on behalf of Christian Churches. People like Andrew Wutawunashe, Mutendi and Makusha among others now act as official voices for all Christians in Zimbabwe.
2/4 There are as many loose Church associations in Zimbabwe as there are church groupings. The most dominant groupings include the Zimbabwe Catholics, The Zimbabwe Council of Churches, The Evangelicals, The Pentecostals and the so called African Independent Churches.
3/4 There are many other duplicates of the same groupings under different names but the one I find toxic is an animal called Zimbabwe Indigenous Churches. Can someone explain to me what sort of animal is this grouping?
4/4 The funny part of all this religious madness is that people like Wutaunshe in particular have taken political positions that are not even shared by a third of their membership. As a result their politically sponsored gatherings attract Vapostori and Mutendi's flock only.
