All set to go to namma Chennai for good. Thanks to the @Indian_Embassy @airindiain and @HardeepSPuri for #VandeBharatMission flights. Will be sharing my whole experience on the same thread! 
Registered using the links updated by the Indian embassy in April to go back to India. No luck with the first set of flights. Registered again with the second link and got selected for the third phase of flights. Got an email from embassy Jun 8th for the flight on 17th..
@Indian_Embassy sent an email with French bank account details of @airindiain and we were asked to do account transfer. Made the transfer on the same day. Got the tickets from Air India on Jun 10th. Indian embassy promptly followed up on payments and receipt of tickets
We were asked to come to the airport 4 hours ahead, for the flight at 10PM. I was there at 4.30PM. To my surprise, many people were already there and queuing up. Waited in the queue for about 2 hours.
Members of the @Indian_Embassy were promptly present at 5.30PM, 30 mins before the requested reporting time. They made all arrangements for necessary checks. Pregnant women, senior citizens and families with kids were asked to come first.
Post arrival of the @Indian_Embassy team, things went by pretty quick. They checked temperature and passport, asked us to fill 3 forms (which was provided by the team, for those who didn’t have them already). You can go to the check in counter, if everything is good.
The queue for check-in went by super quick as well. You are allowed 2 pcs of 23kgs and 1 pc of 8kg. @airindiain folks were pretty nice and understanding if you’re excess by few grams more. You have to fill in the forms provided by the embassy and submit it to at the counter #VBM
Security went by super quick as well. The airport was pretty empty. There was no one before me. My security queue #VandeBharatMission
Few shops of duty free are open, if not everything. But not many food or coffee stalls are open. So, stock up snacks and water bottles #VandeBharatMission
And, the flight got cancelled because of some mechanical failure. After many hours of chaos, they sent us to hotels nearby for a night. Everyone’s doing their best, but the distress, especially of those with kids and elders is disheartening :/ #VBM
Just got an update from the @Indian_Embassy guys. They say the flight is scheduled at 5PM. That’s the info they have from the @airindiain team. Hopefully things go well this time! #VandeBharatMission
Room provided at Ibis / Mariott for one night. We reached around 3AM and were requested to check out at 12PM. We had to do immigration again to get to the hotel. Few others were stuck at the airport as they didn’t have valid schengen visa or other issues :(
Got an update at the hotel and a pizza for lunch. Had something to eat after 24 hours almost. Heading towards the airport now. TBH, at this point, thankful to @airindiain and the @Indian_Embassy for trying their best to help us.
Waiting at the boarding gate again. The board says “on time” but no signs of the flight yet.
Finally, all of us are boarding the flight. After everything that happened in the last 24 hours. So relieved! #VandeBharatMissionphase3 #VBM #AirIndia
The crew has placed enough snacks and water in all the seats. They have also provided face shield, hand sanitizers and face masks for everyone. No other food service in the flights. #VandeBharatMission #Travelduringcorona #AirIndia
Middle seat passengers also get PPE kits. We are supposed to wear them throughout the flight. I got a middle seat and this is the avatar, haha. I hope everything goes well this time. Very thankful to @Indian_Embassy and @airindiain for all their help #VBM
