The investigation is being conducted by WA State Patrol, but we still have questions. And demands. (A thread). 
Provisions of I940 were CLEARLY violated. What are the consequences for breaking this law?
Pierce County Sheriff's department was on the scene and assisted in the death of Manuel Ellis. Why were they allowed to investigate?
WA State Patrol arrived on the scene, but was sent away because they didn't need help. This trooper was never contacted afterwards to make a statement about his involvement during the PCS investigation. Why were they sent away? Why weren't they interviewed?
The names of officers involved are supposed to be made public. They were not. They were made public by a journalist. And it seems there are more officers involved outside of TPD. Who are they?
A press conference is supposed to happen weekly, even if there are no updates, until the investigation is done. There were zero. Why?
There was supposed to be a family liaison. Who is this person, and why did they not contact the family?
Community members were supposed to be appointed to review the investigation team. This did not happen. Why?
The four officers involved were placed on leave and returned to work, even through the investigation wasn't completed. They were placed on leave again once the story went national. Why were they able to return to work?
We are expected to have faith in a system that has no accountability. We are expected to have faith in a system where a man is killed on the street and then his character is attacked before his murder is investigated.
We want accountability. We want #JusticeForManuelEllis.
