With several bridges over Shyok river, even tanks & heavy artilleries can reach upto DBO which is just 9 Km from LAC & just below Siachen Glacier.

Since it takes upto 7vhrs to cover 9 KM to reach LAC,Army decided to build a Link Road & a bridge crossing the Shyok river upto Galvan Valley at LAC

China has already built road upto LAC and it has put up a temporary post at Galvan Valley.
Here are problem lies for China.
When completed the proposed Link Road would take just 35 min to reach LAC & Heavy artilleries & tanks can also be transported & deployed upto LAC

In case of war China could have attacked Darbuk-Shyok road which would have paralysed army with supplies and additional forces
