This is so suspicious.
According to LASD, it began as a search for "a kidnap domestic assault suspect," but when detectives pulled Mr. Boone over, he and his 7-year-old daughter were both passengers in a car being driven by his girlfriend.

So he and his girlfriend's car is being pursued by detectives in an unmarked car.
Remember his brother has just been lynched and then the detectives force it off the road and he's meant to know what is happening?
