The future is here but not evenly distributed, most notably by YC, with quite a bit of traditional VC on an offshoot of the model, and (if you squint at it) traditional universities vis “scholarship kids.”
It’s interesting what assumptions change about education once you’re getting equity.

Results-oriented work environment, sure, but also you probably try to inculcate a culture of positive ambition realized relatively quickly (versus “hope you donate 40-70 years later”).
And *cough* you’d probably set up the menu of options and incentive structures such that most of your students, and particular those students you thought likely to be most accomplished, optimized for equity over social status.
Incidentally: it’s kinda crazy that so few employers have Advancement Track A: the Ladder and Advancement Track B: “Congratulations on your new adventure; clearly you will take our check for that right.”
