@AmbJohnBolton didn't testify during impeachment of @realDonaldTrump because Bolton would've been under oath & would've had to contradict most, if not all, of his book's material.
John Bolton isn't a copious note taker, he's a serial composer of BS, lies, & deceit which is why he left the Bush Administration in 2006. He lied about being questioned in an investigation on a government form. He has been interviewed by DoS IG.

Why did Bolton want Bustani fired so badly? B/c Bustani went against the Bolton claims that Iraq had massive stockpiles of WMD, not that they could resume these programs, but had the actual WMD.
Bolton had advocated for the invasion of Iraq during the Clinton Administration calling on then President Bill Clinton to oust Saddam. While under secretary of state for arms control he told the BBC, "Iraq has hidden WMD & production facilities in Iraq."
Yet, none of Bolton's allegations were true. Most of this information came from a polluted source pool of the Iraqi National Congress headed by Ahmed Chalabi (he became anti American when he lost the PM slot).
What kind of deal did John Bolton make with Ahmed Chalabi's INC? Did he make nuanced suggestions of the Prime Minister position to Chalabi?

Bolton is a civilian version of Jim Mattis. He's good for one liners, but he's terrible at getting things done. Bolton was released from the NSA post b/c @realDonaldTrump wasn't willing to invade every country on John Bolton's wish list.
Bolton fired people that didn't tow the line of his desires for what should happen. Bolton put HIS policies before the president, that includes when he served Bush as well. Trump figured this out during some of the heated clashes between Bolton & others.
