Aha!

Grigoris, our colleague from our ORBITA partners in Essex Cardiothoracic Centre, sets up a challenge.

Can anyone suggest one? I know I have my favourite.
Nice suggestions!
My favourite is this trial, unique in many ways.
First unique thing.

Who wrote the paper?
Well that explains why they probably didn't understand what "primary endpoint" means.

Here is the primary endpoint.
And here is the result.
So death/definite MI did what, when you randomized to PCI?
Was this effect on the primary outcome statistically significant?
And here was what the RITA-2 authors concluded.
Those were the days.

You didn't need Surgisphere Corporation to make up your data.

You could just say whatever you want as your conclusion, completely ignore the primary endpoint, and the sheep would just bow and scrape and say you are a genius.
I suppose that's why we don't get the trial participants to write the papers any more?
Anyway thank you Grigoris for reminding us of this masterpiece of subterfuge, from the Wild West days of PCI research.

I never took you for a rebel?

8-)
