to distort & *belittle* marxism, which would probably better serve to be described as dialectical/historical materialism, to just marx’s ideas, theorizations & writing—is to erase over a CENTURY of contributions from black (+brown) feminists, revolutionaries, and thinkers
let’s not even getting into decolonial feminists, or pan-africanists, who mention materialism/marxism, on every other page. why is that? 🤣 just for modern anti-communist academics & anti-intellectuals to dismiss the framework(s)
there are no social sciences w/o marxism & black radical tradition. they are INSEPARABLE! it is our job to continuing learning, teaching, and pushing the theory forward towards liberation—not shade & downplay its importance, lmao.
