iOS14 Homescreen getting App Library feature--automatically organizes all apps in one view. You can now search through the App Library. Youll also have auto-categorization of apps #WWDC20
NEW WIDGETS announced: data rich and more accessible. You can drag them anywhere onto the home screen. There's a widget gallery where you can explore the diff available widgets and play with different sizes #WWDC20
There is also a Smart Stack that allows multiple widgets to be shown in one space, where you can easily flip through your favorite widgets. #WWDC20
Picture in picture video is coming. You can have an appleTV video playing on top of another app. You'll be able to move the picture around the screen as well #WWDC20
Siri is being embedded deeper into iOS14, such as navigating a web page about a recipe and Siri suggesting if you want to add ingredients to a grocery list #WWDC20
More customization options being added to Memojis including more age options, jobs, face masks and more #WWDC20
FINALLY--Threaded conversations coming to iMessage. There's also a new Mentions feature which alerts you to certain parts of a conversation only pertaining to you in group chats #WWDC20
I wanna see how Apple's translate app stacks up to Google's. #WWDC20
And shots fired re: Apple Maps vs Google Maps. FWIW I still use Google Maps exclusively #WWDC20
Cycling options coming to Apple Maps. Takes elevation, traffic patterns and more into account to suggest cycling routes. Coming to NYC, LA, San Fran, Shanghai, Beijing #WWDC20
EV Routing coming too, gives most efficient route to those driving electric vehicles to ensure there are relevant charging stations on the way #WWDC20
For city centers like Paris and Beijing that have special congestion considerations, congestion routing is coming as well #WWDC20
CarPlay updates: new wallpaper, support for new CarPlay apps: parking, EV charging and delivery #WWDC20
CarPlay new feature: digital keys for your car. You will be able to turn keys off and on remotely. You will be able to share keys between iPhone users and modify access levels: first far to support this will be 2021 BMW 5-series #WWDC20
Apple's U1 chip will allow you to securely lock/unlock your car without taking it out of your pocket. Apple working on making this an industry standard #WWDC20
introducing App Clips: if you're using a service or business that runs and app you don't have on your phone, the feature allows you to use the small portion of the full app required to get your good/service. AppClip can take advantage of ApplePay and Login with Apple #WWDC20
App Clips activated through NFC and/or the camera #WWDC20

iPadOS 14 up: re-designed widgets coming, new sidebar to more easily browse & organize photos. Sidebar is being added to many different native apps #WWDC20
Sidebar for the music app coming as well to iPadOS #WWDC20
Incoming calls will no longer take up the entire screen, instead a compact notification will drop down from the top of the screen. Coming to both iOS and iPadOS #WWDC20
Search has also been updated with a new compact design in iPadOS. You can search from the home screen as well as within an app. It will also now be a Universal Search to allow search for info across your device/accounts etc #WWDC20
Apple Pencil: improvements include the ability to edit handwriting as easy as you can edit typed text. Handwrite in any text field and it will be converted to text. It will also concert shapes you draw to smart shapes #WWDC20
This is a huge feature to me and something I've always wanted to do--on the fly selection, copy, paste of handwritten text #WWDC20
Apple Pencil: Ability to recognize multiple languages in the same line and still convert to text #WWDC20
New AirPods software: automatic switching bw iDevices, Spatial Audio coming to facilitate 360degree audio that replicate the movie theater experience #WWDC20

Apple Watch: watchOS 7 enabling multiple new complications on a watch face and more customizations, refreshed chronograph face, ability to share watch faces with other users and developers #WWDC20

WatchOS 7 introducing Sleep tracking. Bedtime/wakeup goal tracking via Windown which helps put you on a personal routine to help you transition to sleep #WWDC20

Watch OS 7 will also help you track handwashing, will use the sound of running water and squishing of soap to detect when and how long you're washing #WWDC20

Apple talking Privacy now: avoidance of data collection by processing as much info right on the device instead of sending it to a server as well as transparency control about how data is being used--such as Sign in With Apple #WWDC20
Apple will enable developers to update existing accounts to convert them into Login with Apple accounts #WWDC20
More visibility and control re: when apps use your camera, mic, or track you across apps and website. Apple introducing a "nutrition facts" type of approach to summarize what kind of information or access different apps require from users #WWDC20
Home app updates: in iOS14 you can add more smart devices and the app will suggest automations for you #WWDC20
Adaptive lighting settings for your home coming to homekit. You can control the color/hue/warmth/coolness of smart lighting #WWDC20
Apple Arcade: Xbox Elite 2 and Xbox Adaptive controller support being added #WWDC20

macOS updates: new macOS will be called Big Sur (did Craig just say the marketing team comes up with idea during drug fueled binges?? 🤣🤣) #WWDC20
macOS Big Sur: dock, refreshed system app icons and Finder have been redesigned. Color brought back to Mail. Sidebar avail in Photos, translucent menu bar, menu layouts have been updated #WWDC20
Control Center coming to macOS Big Sur. Will be able to change display brightness, volume, dark mode, etc. you can customize it as well #WWDC20

Safari on Mac: customizable Start page, add new sections, use personal pictures as backgrounds, and more #WWDC20

Timothy C announces Apple will be manufacturing their own custom Silicon (chips) for the Mac. Will be moving away from Intel #WWDC20
