these aren’t isolated incidents! cops all over the country keep imagining or outright fabricating these persecutions by fast food employees. remember the guy who thought the pepper on his whopper was dirt?

those guys were just confused about how lunch works. maybe they shouldn’t be armed & investigating crimes, bless their hearts. but then there are stories of cops outright faking these incidents, like this hoax from a kansas cop

these stories show cops to be unreliable narrators with victim complexes. if they’re willing to double down & ruin someone’s life over a sandwich, how are you supposed to believe them when the stakes are higher?

i’m back at beautiful marcus-david peters circle in richmond tonight. another beautiful community event is in full swing. there’s a good crowd out here just enjoying public space.
the cops are here earlier than i would’ve expected - they’ve been waiting for crowds to thin out before they attack small groups of tired people. the crowd out here now is strong.
cops on at least two sides of the circle. the crowd is all contained within the concrete barriers around the circle.

the sun is starting to go down here in richmond. yesterday it was decreed that the area around the robert e lee statue is “closed” from sunset to sunrise. word is the state police are gearing up not far from here.
folks have been hanging out here in what is now called marcus david peters circle for hours. playing basketball, doing photoshoots, handing out free food and water, and just enjoying community space. people aren’t leaving.
the mood is good!
