@JoLuehmann This sounds like as much a cry for help as an aggressive manifesto. So let me give you a piece of advice. You've never read the Bible all the way through for understanding, have you? You don't understand the textual basis of the religion you identify with. Right? OK then: 👇

@JoLuehmann You are on the road to non-belief—agnosticism or atheism. (Declaring yourself a nonbeliever would be more honest than declaring yourself a Christian who has changed the meaning of the word.)

@JoLuehmann Actually read the Bible from cover to cover. I recommend using a YouVersion Bible app reading plan that takes you through all the books in historical order, like this:

But actually look up everything you don't understand or have a problem with.

@JoLuehmann There are massive numbers of free and very cheap resources online to answer all your questions (and yes, even from a "liberal" perspective; I would have you *understand* and *compare* perspectives, but maybe that's just me).

Maybe you've done this already, but I doubt it.

@JoLuehmann If, after doing that, you deny that the Bible is the inspired word of God, then at least then you'll know what you're denying.

I suspect, though, that your perspective on many things will change. Actually reading the scriptures systematically for understanding...changes people.
