Do I think that as head of the largest MLP news site in the fandom his desire to create an "apolitical" space contributed directly to the rise of fascism in the fandom? Yes.

I thought he was getting better about this but apparently he's started blocking anybody calling him out for his role in this so it looks like he's learned literally nothing over the past decade.
Sethisto has refused to directly confront these things over the years. This latest write up where he basically goes "tee hee whoopsies looks like there's some heckin' nazerinos in the fandom, who woulda thunkit?" showcases his attitude on the issue: feign ignorance.
Really, the problem starts from the top. If there is no leadership from those in charge of the fandom's various communities how can we be upset when the void is filled by nazis? Politically "neutral" people like Sethisto who continue to fence-sit are the reason we're in this mess
